Safaa Alnabelseya is a Palestinian-Canadian artist, writer, researcher, and chef residing in Tkaronto whose work bridges food, storytelling, design, and community organizing. Trained as an architect and designer, her practice explores creative ways to amplify voices and the experiences of communities facing systemic oppression. Food serves as a central medium through which she connects with heritage, culture, and identity. Her writing has appeared in Chutney Magazine, GALT, and POOL. Safaa is a co-recipient of the Toronto Arts Council’s 2026 Animating Historic Sites grant and will co-present Feeding Educators (FEEDED) at Evergreen Brick Works during the summer and autumn of 2026.
